Welcome to a 6-night immersive yoga (and a sprinkle of surf!) retreat with Soul Sanctuary founder, Cat Meffan. Over the 6-nights that we are together, we’ll connect through the power of embodied flow, free movement, breathwork, meditation, sharing circles, surf and time in nature. The vibrations and frequencies that you meet through these practices will be the inner guide that you reach for when it’s time to surrender, heal and let go.
Soul Sanctuary retreats aren’t your average retreats. We ask our guests to not only explore the physical practice of movement, but to be willing to delve into a journey of deep healing. Along with all of the deep and juicy stuff, there is so much joy, bliss and playfulness to be embraced. This is where the surfing comes in. You do not need to have any prior experience with surfing, as we will offer two lessons throughout the retreat. Those that have experience already are welcome to hire a board and surf everyday. Please note that surfing is very much connected to nature, and though we have picked a time of year when the waves should be fun, we cannot guarantee surf conditions. You MUST be able to swim to come on this retreat.

LOCATION
Our home for the retreat is called Still Salty and is a highly rated yoga and surf retreat space in El Viejo, Nicaragua. Still Salty has a large designated yoga shala, plus a meditation shala for quieter practices. We'll be able to watch the sun go down, as we swing ourselves into ultimate relaxation on hammocks around the Still Salty grounds. Our chic and simple rooms for the 6-night retreat boast outdoor bathrooms that give us that extra connection to nature!
I chose Nicaragua because I wanted to go somewhere rugged, raw and more un-touched than the usual places you might expect a yoga and surf retreat. We're not about what is trendy, we're about getting back to nature and simplicity.
FOOD
Included in the price are three meals per full day, along with a welcome dinner and a goodbye breakfast. We will also offer tea, coffee, and fruit before our morning practice. Our fully plant-based menu is set to be extremely delicious as always, and you’ll leave the retreat wanting to include more vegan goodness in your life.

We CANNOT accommodate partners, friends or family members who are not participating in the retreat. There is other accommodation not far from Still Salty where they would be welcome to stay while you're on retreat. Soul Sanctuary retreats are like creating a beautiful family container with all the guests, they are a "closed door experience", so if you chose to travel with someone who is not on the retreat, all we ask is that you commit to the retreat experience as much as possible. Of course you can leave as much as you wish to, but we cannot have external people in the retreat space.
To reserve your space, we ask for a 35% non-refundable deposit payable by bank transfer.
A further 35% will be due by 16th September 2024 and the balance by 16th February 2025.
If you would prefer to make monthly instalments, this is also possible after the 35% non-refundable deposit is paid.
Please note that for cancellations made within six weeks of the retreat, no refund will be given on the balance either.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED
Flights - from the UK there are daily flights from London to Managua (via Miami) with American Airlines.
Transfers (we will set up a Whatsapp group nearer the time for those wanting to share transfers) - Still Salty is located 3.5 hours from Managua airport and a taxi (which we can book for you) will cost approximately $140-160. This is per taxi, so where possible we will help group people together who land at similar times.
Extra food whilst out of the house is not something we cover.
Alcohol - this isn’t something I provide as part of my retreats, and would prefer everyone to abstain from alcohol for the duration of the retreat.
