CONSCIOUS CONNECTED BREATHWORK JOURNEY – ONLINE

Day 10

18th May 2025, 10 am - 12 pm

Online Journey

This sacred journey of breath is designed to bring us back into harmony with ourselves, unlocking the wisdom and energy that resides deep within. By consciously breathing in a continuous, connected rhythm—without pausing between the inhale and exhale—we begin to create space, release tension, and invite in a profound sense of healing. It’s like allowing the breath to guide us back to our true nature, softening the walls we’ve built around our hearts and minds.

Emotionally, it’s a powerful tool for clearing blockages and opening up to greater self-awareness. You may experience moments of deep release—tears, laughter, or a profound sense of peace—allowing you to heal old wounds and let go of limiting beliefs that no longer serve you. With regular practice, it cultivates emotional resilience and supports us in moving through life with more grace and presence.

The Conscious Connected Breathwork technique shared by Cat Meffan and the Soul Sanctuary is focused around a nose inhale to activate the para-sympathetic nervous system. This breathwork practice isn’t a “quick fix”, it’s not about who can “get there” the quickest, nor is it a practice that we share lightly. The journeys we share at the Soul Sanctuary, on retreats, at events and online, are trauma informed and follow the softer path of the feminine, whilst still reaching the depths that many need to reach to start healing.

On a spiritual level, Conscious Connected Breathwork is a gateway to deeper connection—both with our innermost selves and with the universe. It invites us to tap into the vast energy of the present moment, helping us feel more grounded, connected, and alive. The breath becomes our anchor, guiding us through the ups and downs of life with greater ease and trust.

In essence, this practice is an invitation to remember our own innate wholeness. It nurtures our body, mind, and spirit, reminding us that we are worthy of love, peace, and deep inner transformation.

BREATHWORK FAQs

1. What exactly is Conscious Connected Breathwork?

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a heart-centered, active breathing practice where we breathe in a continuous, connected rhythm—without pauses between the inhale and exhale. This rhythmic breath helps us release tension, clear emotional blockages, and invite in healing and transformation. It’s a journey of reconnecting with your own body, mind, and spirit through the power of your breath.

2. What will I experience during a session?

Each session is unique, as your experience will unfold according to what your body and heart need. Some people may feel a deep sense of calm and relaxation, while others may release old emotions through tears or laughter. You may experience vivid sensations or a heightened sense of awareness. Trust that whatever arises is part of the process, and you are safe to let it flow. There’s no “right” or “wrong” way to experience the breath—only what is true for you in the moment.

3. Is this practice safe?

Yes, Conscious Connected Breathwork is a very safe and supportive practice when done with proper guidance. It is important to listen to your body and honor your limits. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, you are encouraged to take a pause or gently slow down your breath. Your breath is always your guide, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. It is important to fully read our waiver which will be sent to you to agree to after booking.

4. Do I need any experience to practice Breathwork?

Not at all! No previous experience is necessary. This practice is accessible to everyone, whether you’re just beginning your journey or have been on the path for many years. All you need is a willingness to show up, be present, and trust the process.

5. What are the benefits of Conscious Connected Breathwork?

The benefits are truly expansive and deeply personal. Physically, it can help release tension, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. Emotionally, it’s a powerful tool for clearing emotional blockages, releasing trauma, and fostering emotional resilience. Spiritually, it deepens your connection with your true essence and supports you in living with greater presence and inner peace. Over time, it helps you cultivate a more balanced and grounded way of being.

6. How often should I practice Breathwork?

The beauty of Conscious Connected Breathwork is that it can be practiced whenever you feel called to it. Some people benefit from a regular practice, while others find that breathing deeply for a few minutes whenever they need grounding or clarity is enough. Trust your body and intuition to guide you, and remember, there’s no “right” frequency—just what feels most nourishing for you.

7. Can Breathwork help with healing emotional trauma?

Yes, indeed. Breathwork can be a powerful tool for emotional healing. By consciously breathing into areas of tension or emotion, you can begin to release stored pain and trauma. It creates space for you to process and move through emotions, allowing them to be fully expressed and healed. Every session offers the opportunity for growth, release, and renewal.

8. Will I need to lie down for a session?

In most cases, yes. Lying down with your body supported allows you to fully relax and surrender to the breath. We encourage you to get comfortable in a position where you can completely release any tension in your body. However, if lying down isn’t comfortable for you, you can always find a position that suits your body best.

9. How will I feel after a session?

Many people report feeling deeply relaxed, more centered, and lighter after a Breathwork session. You might feel a sense of emotional release, clarity, or an increased sense of connection with yourself. It’s also common to feel more present, energized, or even a little vulnerable. Be mindful that a journey like this can bring up a lot of emotion, so feelings of emotional exhaustion are very normal. Remember, every experience is unique, and there’s no “right” way to feel—simply trust the process and allow whatever comes up to be met with compassion.

10. Can I practice Breathwork on my own?

If you’re new to the practice, we recommend learning it with a guided session to ensure you're breathing in a safe and effective way. Whether on your own or in a group, always remember that your breath is your anchor, and it will always guide you.

11. What if I don’t experience anything during a session?

There is no need to worry if you don’t experience a “big shift” during a session. Breathwork works on an energetic and subconscious level, and sometimes the changes are subtle but profound over time. Every session is a step on your journey, even if you don’t feel immediate results. Trust that the process is unfolding exactly as it needs to, and honor yourself for showing up with love and presence.

Your breath is a tool for grounding, healing, and returning home to yourself—no matter where you are on your journey. Be gentle with yourself, trust in the process, and know that you are deeply supported every step of the way.
