WHAT IS YOGANUARY?
Yoganuary is a 31-day journey that will help you start your year with strength, resilience, mindfulness and balance. It consists of daily yoga, meditation, sound healing, pranayama and more, offering a complete mind-body-soul experience. Whether you follow along with the Soul Sanctuary community or move at your own pace, the goal is to build strength across multiple layers - body, mind, breath and soul.
This year, our Yoganuary 9.0 theme is STRONG, and you will be led by Soul Sanctuary founder Cat Meffan, along with special guest teachers Caroline Inspired, Joa Gomez, Lena Jungmann, Emma Tian Williams and Sadé Christine.
Together, they will guide you through a powerful journey to build resilience and inner strength in all aspects of your being.

If this is your first time joining us, welcome to the 9th edition of Yoganuary!
Yoganuary is an opportunity to step out of routine and start the year grounded in strength. We encourage you to take things at your own pace, tuning in to what your body and mind need each day. Whether you join us daily or carve out your own rhythm, this is your journey.
What do I need?
For your asana practice, we recommend using a yoga mat, blocks and a strap. Household items like books or a dressing gown tie work just as well if you don’t have these props already.
You don’t need the latest yoga gear; all you need is an open heart and the willingness to show up for yourself, exactly as you are. Offer yourself compassion and space to release what no longer serves you.

WHAT IS THE YOGANUARY 9.0 THEME?
OUR YOGANUARY 9.0 THEME IS 'STRONG'
This January, we invite you to explore your strength on multiple levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual - through five key stages: Strong Body, Strong Mind, Strong Breath, Strong Soul and I am STRONG.
Our carefully crafted 31-day journey includes a diverse array of yoga practices, embodied movement, Qigong, meditation, pranayama, sound healing and more. Each stage will take you deeper into your own resilience, empowering you to find strength from within and carry it with you into the new year.
We are here to build strength together, nurturing confidence, empowerment and growth, so we can share that strength with the world.
Chapter 1: Strong Body
In this chapter, we focus on cultivating physical strength through a balanced mix of grounding, challenging and restorative practices. These classes are designed to engage your strength in multiple ways, from building endurance and stability while encouraging deeper resilience and recovery, helping you connect to your inner strength and tap into the full power of your body. The practices will encourage you to challenge your limits while honouring where you are in your journey, promoting growth and confidence from a strong foundation.
Chapter 2: Strong Mind
This chapter is all about fostering mental strength. We will explore mindfulness techniques, like meditation and sound healing, and practices that will help to build focus and clarity. This chapter encourages you to quieten the mind, overcome mental obstacles and build resilience in your thoughts.
These practices will allow you to strengthen your ability to navigate challenges with calmness and confidence, connecting deeply to your inner mental fortitude.
Chapter 3: Strong Breath
The breath, or prana, is our life force and in this chapter we focus on harnessing its power. Through Pranayama and breathwork techniques, we deepen our connection to the breath, recognising it as the bridge between body and mind. The breath is fundamental in yoga, as it not only energises the body but also calms the nervous system and enhances mental clarity. By learning to control and expand the breath we create space for both physical and mental ease, allowing us to move through challenges with more fluidity and awareness. Strengthening your breath brings balance, reduces stress and helps you stay present, making it an essential tool for deepening your practice and everyday life.
Chapter 4: Strong Soul
This chapter is dedicated to connecting with and strengthening the soul. Through all of our practices this month, but especially those through this phase, we dive into deeper more subtle aspects of the self. The practices through this chapter help you tune into your inner essence and nourish your spirit, allowing for profound growth and healing on an energetic level.

Chapter 5: I am STRONG
This final chapter integrates everything you have learned throughout this journey, culminating in the affirmation “I AM STRONG”.
Here you embrace and embody your strength across all dimensions - body, mind, breath and soul. You will enter the new era with a deep sense of empowerment, carrying this inner strength with you into all aspects of your life.
